Paleo for Kids Series Part 1

Paleo is becoming quite popular in the next few weeks we'll talk about what it is and how to get started cooking Paleo.

Foods allowed in Paleolithic diet:

All fruits, high sugar fruits should be consumed in moderation
All types of unprocessed meats (beef, pork, poultry, lamb etc.)
All vegetables, except potatoes and those high in carbohydrate
All types of fish and sea food (wild-caught and unprocessed)
Coconut and almond based dairy alternatives (milk, cream, yogurt etc.)
Oils (almond, avocado, olive, macadamia nut, grass-fed butter, ghee, animal fat)
Nuts (almond, cashew, macadamia, pecans, pine, pumpkin, hazelnuts, walnuts, sunflower seeds)
Frozen organic fruits (high-sugar fruits in moderation)
Unprocessed and organic sweetener (honey, palm sugar, maple syrup etc.)
Coconut aminos

Foods not allowed in Paleolithic diet:

Alcohols (wines, beers, Champagne can be taken occasionally)
Fatty and processed meat  (Hot dog, spam etc.)
Dairy products (yogurt, milk, ice cream, skimmed milk, cream, half-and-half, cheese, sour cream, powdered milk, dairy creamer, cream cheese etc.)
Soft drinks (Pepsi, Cola, energy drinks)
Grains (rice, wheat, corn, oats, millets, etc.)
Fruit juices
Artificial Sweeteners
Processed food  (soy sauce, fish sauce, cider vinegars, etc.)
Packaged food  (potato chips, read-to-make foods, packaged cookies etc.)
Starchy vegetables  (sweet potatoes, butternut squash, beets, yucca, yam, etc.)
Grain based products (breads, pasta, noodles, tortillas, taco shells, crackers, corn syrup, pancakes etc.)
Peanut butter
