As we wrap up the new year I'm taking a look at some best seller cookbooks you'll find in the market this year. As well as highlighting some of our favorites and some new cookbooks just coming out.

Cookbooks make great gifts whether as a family gift or for a child who loves to cook.

Cooking Class by Deanna Cook. This cookbook is geared for ages 6-12 and includes recipes for lunch, dessert, dinners, vegetables, breakfast and snacks. A special chapter at the beginning teaching kids some important cooking skills like measuring, cleaning up and kitchen vocabulary.

Kid Chef Foodie Kids Cookbook Teaching kids some great skills with what to stock in your kitchen, using a knife correctly and much more. As well as including healthy recipes from all the important categories like main dishes, snacks and desserts.



Master Chef Junior Cookbook follows after the popular television show that has aspiring young chefs cooking with other contestants. This kids cookbook breaks down their 100 recipes into categories such as snacks, fish, meat, pasta, sides, salads and desserts.

Cookbook for Teens. A great starter book for teens (or kids). This cookbook covers basic cooking techniques, learning to grocery shop, safety tips and more. Included are 74 recipes of a wide variety including breakfast, snacks, salads, soups and dinners.

Nerdy Mummies Cookbook. A popular baking show you'll find her on YouTube creating some fun recipes. Included in this book are some of her famous sweet treats with photos and step by step directions.

The Pioneer Woman Cooks Come and Get It. This down home cookbook includes 120 meals for breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinners. My favorite part of her cookbooks are the step by step photos.

I Love Tasty The Unofficial Cookbook Known for their cooking videos that are quick and to the point this cookbook covers 100 recipes with step by step photos.


Kid Chef Bakes. Written for 8-13 years old in mind this cookbook teaches baking skills from prepping to finishing touches. Over 75 recipes included including breads, muffins, cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pies, pastries, quiches, calzones and much more.

Breakfast and Brunch. One in the American Girl Cookbook series. This book is dedicated to breakfast and brunch recipes.


Easy Classic Casseroles. Gooseberry Patch has 100's of cookbooks from all categories of cooking. This one focuses on casseroles, something that your kids can learn to cook easily.
