The Speedy Sneaky Chef

I love the Sneaky Chef cookbooks and the whole idea of pureeing vegetables/fruits to add more nutrition in meals is fantastic. It is something I do at my house often. So I was more than happy to check out her newest cookbook

The Speedy Sneaky Chef: Quick, Healthy Fixes for Your Favorite Packaged Foods

This cookbook is all about using convenience products you will find at the store that will get your meals done quickly but sneaking the nutrition in while you're doing it. Products such as boxed macaroni and cheese, cake mixes, canned soups are taken up a notch when you add pureed vegetables, pomegranate juice, flaxseed and more healthy ingredients.

Here is what we tried from the cookbook at our house. It was a big hit as we really love Chinese/Asian food at our house.
Orange Chicken with Won Ton Soup

I added fresh chopped green beans to the recipe as I had some I needed to use up!

Wonton Soup -you'd never guess the broth has hidden vegetables in it!
Finished off with Zucchini Brownies. The recipe calls for blueberry/spinach puree but I substituted a puree zucchini/cauliflower mix.

I've been busy bookmarking several more recipes to try and I can't wait to check them out. I'm already planning on a Baked Ziti recipe this weekend with a little hidden 100% vegetable juice and pureed carrots! Can't wait, thanks to the The Speedy Sneaky Chef
